Porsche Cayman S (2007)













Overview:

The Porsche Cayman S is a sport coupe based off the Boxster platform. The Cayman S is the performance tuned version of the Cayman lineup. It is a two passenger coupe that features: Active Suspension Management, automatic rear spoiler, dual exhaust, and 18-inch wheels. It is powered by a horizontally-opposed, 295 hp 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine. A six-speed manual is standard and a Tiptronic five-speed automatic with manual shift is optional. This two-seat midengine hardtop coupe shares its basic design and horizontally opposed 6-cyl engines with Porsche's Boxster convertible. Like Boxster, Cayman offers base and S trim. Base models have 245 hp; S versions have 295. Manual or automatic transmission is available. The automatic has manual-shift capability via floorshifter or steering wheel buttons. ABS, traction/antiskid control, and side airbag protection for head and torso are standard. Options include a navigation system and Porsche's Sport Chrono Package with a dashboard stopwatch and sensors that modify throttle, traction, and suspension systems to suit racetrack-type driving. Also optional is Porsche's Active Suspension Management with normal and sport settings.
